You know your ad is working when they complain

Updated: Jun 12

Welcome to Message Monday!

Joe Biden needs to present info about what he would do with his next term, as well as his past accomplishments.  As far as I know, that hasn’t happened at all.

That being said, a new Biden ad highlighting Trump’s disrespectful comments about our military personnel and veterans had the desired effect on at least one person:  Donald Trump.

According to the New Republic, at a Las Vegas rally on Sunday, the convicted felon and former president once again denied making the comments, as he did when The Atlantic first reported on them in 2020.  He wants the ad pulled and says no one could ever say such things.

Trump’s former Chief of Staff, John Kelly, has confirmed that Trump made the comments in 2018, refusing to visit the graves of American soldiers buried near Paris because the cemetery is “filled with losers.”  Trump is “a person that has no idea what America stands for and has no idea what America is all about,” Kelly said. “There is nothing more that can be said.”

Reminding people of the nature of Biden’s actual opponent is necessary (though not sufficient), and this ad is mission accomplished.
